Who is Mark Howard?
After growing up all around the US, from 4th grade through college, Texas was home for me, my 2 older brothers, and parents. My amazing mom and dad taught us from birth how to love and serve Christ wherever we were planted. In the spring of 1996 I traveled to Rio De Janeiro to embark on my first mission trip. The amazing satisfaction of serving others began to mold my future into a career of serving Christ.
I attended the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, TX, and then began the application process to Moody Aviation to train to become a missionary pilot. But first, in 2000, my roommate Daniel
Palmer and I moved to Williamsburg, VA for a full time internship with the youth ministry at the Williamsburg Community Chapel. Not only did Williamsburg bring friends, families and lessons learned,
but also the love of my life, Tracy. Trace was a volunteer at the Chapel with the youth and she stole my heart! God has blessed us with an incredible, fun, God-centered relationship and friendship. We
married May 31st, 2003 in Williamsburg.
Who is Tracy Howard?
I came into the world as Tracy Leigh Candler. I know, what cool initials! I was born in California and spent my childhood moving around the country. The constants in my life were my awesome family,
and playing sports. In high school, my family moved to Malaysia for my dad’s work. My older brother and I went to an International School and we both loved it. After high school I went to the College
of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA to study Kinesiology and Education. Little did I know how much my life would change there.
I had grown up attending different churches, but a real relationship with Jesus was never a reality. My freshman year at William and Mary, in my dorm, God showed up and my life has never been the same. God showed me how real and personal He is, and how much He loved me. I began volunteering in the youth ministry at my church and that is where I met Mark. Two and a half years later, I graduated, and got married. So long cool initials, but it was worth it!
